designed yachts DORADE (left) and SONNY (right) as they broad reach past
Castle Hill light on Aquidneck Island,

When not sailing both classic yachts can be seen docked at the
International Yacht Restoration School's Marina at 449 Thames Street in Newport.

Research for the painting - included sailing aboard SONNY -
model studies and plan studies of original construction drawings of the yachts.
